It takes about three minutes. ## Before you start - A Dumpster Controls user with an office role: owner, admin, supervisor or dispatcher. - A Claude account. 1. ## Add the connector in Claude In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors. Choose Add custom connector (or add Dumpster Controls from the directory once it is listed). Name it Dumpster Controls and paste the server URL: https://mcp.dumpstercontrols.io/mcp. 2. ## Keep Claude's published identity Leave the recommended option, Claude's published identity, selected, and leave the client ID and client secret fields empty. Dumpster Controls verifies Claude through that published identity. 3. ## Sign in on dumpstercontrols.io Choose Connect. Claude opens the Dumpster Controls sign-in page. Sign in with your own email and password (and your second factor, if your account uses one). You type your password only on dumpstercontrols.io, never in the chat. 4. ## Review the consent screen The screen shows who is asking (Claude), your account and company, each permission in plain words, the rule that nothing changes without your confirmation, and where you return after connecting (for example claude.ai). Choose Connect to approve or Cancel to stop. Click once: the button changes to Connecting, please wait. 5. ## Try it in a chat Back in Claude, start a chat, make sure the Dumpster Controls tools are enabled and ask something like: Which dumpsters are still out with a pickup date before today? ## What happens next - The permissions you see depend on your role. A dispatcher does not see money reports; a driver account sees only the account information. - If your role changes later, disconnect and connect again to pick up the new permissions. ## Troubleshooting ### The sign-in page says access is denied. Your user has no office role, or your company or user is inactive. Ask an admin to check your role in Settings, Team, or email support@dumpstercontrols.io. ### I clicked Connect and nothing happened. Wait a few seconds: the button shows Connecting, please wait while the connection is created. No. There is no per-driver, per-truck, per-user or per-order fee, and no order limit.
