# Which texts and emails your junk removal customer receives in Dumpster Controls

Customers who book junk removal online get short texts and emails at each moment of the job, each with a link to their job page or to approve a load change. They are sent in your company's name.

## Before you start

- The job was booked online
- Texts and emails go out for junk jobs booked online. If your junk customers don't get them, contact support.

1. ## Booked
Right after payment: a confirmation email with the invoice (sent for every online junk booking) and a text such as "[Company]: you're booked for junk removal, Tue Oct 6, 8am to 12pm. Job JNK-1001. Details:" with a link to the job page. The first text of a job ends with "Reply STOP to opt out."
2. ## Crew on the way
A text ("your crew is on the way") when the job moves from scheduled to on site. It is only sent on the day of the job and during working hours (6 AM to 8 PM in your company time zone), so closing jobs late in the evening never texts customers.
3. ## Load change request
When the crew proposes a bigger load: a text and an email ("Please approve a load change") with the new load, the difference and a link to approve and pay or decline. The text ends with "No reply? The crew takes only what you booked."
4. ## Difference paid or declined
After paying, a receipt text and an email ("Payment received"). After declining, a text confirming that the crew will take only what was booked.
5. ## Smaller load refunded
When a smaller load is refunded: a text and an email ("We refunded part of your payment") with the amount and a note that it can take 5 to 10 business days.
6. ## Canceled
When you cancel the job: a text and an email ("Your junk removal was canceled") saying any refund goes back to their card in 5 to 10 business days, with your phone number when you have one.

## What happens next

- Texts go to the mobile phone typed at checkout. A customer who replies STOP gets no more texts, and emails are not sent to addresses that asked to stop receiving them.
- Each message is sent once. Jobs created in the app, not booked online, never get these messages.
- The load change, receipt, refund and cancellation emails are signed "Sent on behalf of [your company] by Dumpster Controls" and show your phone number for questions.

## Troubleshooting

### The customer did not get the "crew on the way" text.

It is only sent on the job day during working hours, and only when the job moves from scheduled to on site. It is also skipped if the customer replied STOP.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Dumpster Controls really free?

Yes. The software is free: dispatch, online booking, the driver app, invoicing, the Tresha AI assistant and every other feature, with no monthly fee, no trial period and no credit card to sign up. The only cost on the free plan is optional card processing when a customer pays by card through the platform: 2.99% plus $3.99 per transaction on the free plan. An optional Unlimited plan at $169 per month lowers that to 2.99% plus $0.30. Prices as published on dumpstercontrols.io/pricing on 2026-09-23.

### Do you charge per driver, per truck or per order?

No. There is no per-driver, per-truck, per-user or per-order fee, and no order limit. A company with one truck and a company with twenty pay the same for the software: nothing.

### Is there a contract?

No. There is no contract, no minimum term and no setup fee. You create the account yourself, and on the free plan there is nothing to cancel because nothing is billed. The optional Unlimited plan is billed month to month.

### Which countries and languages are supported?

Dumpster Controls serves hauling companies in the United States and Canada. The app interface and the Tresha AI assistant are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The public pages, such as the blog, the help center and the landfill finder, are in English.

### How do I switch from another dumpster software?

Create a free account at dumpstercontrols.io/login, with no sales call and no credit card. Then import your customers from a CSV file using the template provided in the app; past orders can also be imported from a CSV. Container sizes and pricing are set up in Settings. The landfill database, with 1,750 active US and Canadian landfills as counted on 2026-10-01, is already loaded, so disposal sites do not need to be typed in. Step-by-step guides are at dumpstercontrols.io/help.
