ONLINE BOOKING FOR DUMPSTER RENTAL WEBSITES

# Your customers want to book a dumpster at 9 PM. Let them.

Three ways to take paid orders from your dumpster rental website, all included free: the hosted page you already have, the widget on any site in about 2 minutes, or a site built with AI and connected with one prompt. Live prices, address check, card payment, and the order on your dispatch board while you sleep.

- Hosted page live the moment you switch booking on
- Widget on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Webflow or any HTML page
- Prompts for Claude, Lovable and Codex that build the site and connect the booking, or custom screens on the open Booking API
- Stripe card payment, screened by Stripe Radar, saved on file for the final total

## Three ways to get online booking on your website, all free

- No website yet: your hosted booking page is already live
- Website built by someone else: paste the widget, or email the code to your designer
- Building with AI or a developer: documented for Claude, Lovable and Codex
- Same engine in all three: prices, dates, address, card, confirmations, dispatch

Included on the free plan for any fleet size. No setup fee, no booking fee. The only cost is card processing when a customer pays by card through us.

**Online booking for a dumpster rental website** means a customer picks a size, sees the real price for the dates, enters the delivery address, drops a pin where the container goes and pays by card, without calling. In Dumpster Controls that engine comes with every free account, and it runs the same way on the hosted page, inside the widget on your own site, or behind a site an AI built for you. The order lands on the [dispatch board](https://dumpstercontrols.io/dumpster-dispatch-software) already paid.

This page is the decision guide. Pick the path that matches your situation, see two Orlando companies doing it today, and copy the prompt if you want an AI to build the site. The product details live on the [dumpster booking software](https://dumpstercontrols.io/dumpster-booking-software) page.

## Which path is yours?

I don't have a website

Your hosted booking page is live at `dumpstercontrols.io/book?company=your-slug` as soon as booking is on. Put the link on your Google Business Profile, Instagram bio, invoices and voicemail. Want a full site? [Have one built](https://dumpstercontrols.io/dumpster-rental-website-builder), or build it with AI below.

I have a website

Paste the widget. About 2 minutes on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Webflow or any editor with an HTML block. Not your thing? The same screen emails the code and the steps to your web designer. [Step by step](https://dumpstercontrols.io/help/online-booking/embed-the-booking-widget-on-your-website).

I build with AI or a developer

Everything is documented for people and for AI tools at [developers/booking](https://dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking): the widget (attributes, events, prefill, conversion tracking) and the open **Booking API** for fully custom screens (prices, availability, quote, order and card payment, junk removal, no approval), with a [15-lesson course](https://dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking/guide) any AI tool can learn from, plus the prompts for [Claude](https://dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking/claude), [Lovable](https://dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking/lovable) and [Codex](https://dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking/codex).

## Add the booking widget to your website in about 2 minutes

This is the exact flow inside the app, under Online Booking, Install Widget. Each step shows a live preview with your real sizes and prices.

1. 1
  #### 01. Switch booking on
  In Online Booking, add your sizes and prices, connect Stripe and turn the switch on. Your hosted page is live at once.
2. 2
  #### 02. Choose the format
  Install Widget shows two formats with a live preview of your real sizes and prices: the form on your page, or a floating button that opens it.
3. 3
  #### 03. Copy the code
  Two lines for the form, one for the button, already filled with your company slug and your brand color.
4. 4
  #### 04. Paste it on your site
  A Custom HTML or Embed block on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Webflow or any editor that accepts HTML. Or send the code to your web designer from the same screen.
5. 5
  #### 05. Take the first order
  Open your page, book a dumpster yourself and watch it land on the dispatch board. Then add the conversion event for Google Ads or Meta Pixel.

## Building a dumpster rental website with AI, today

AI tools now build a complete marketing site from a written briefing: pages, copy, photos, local SEO. What they do not have is the booking engine: prices by rental length, holidays, service area, card payment with fraud screening, confirmations, dispatch. That is the part Dumpster Controls gives them. The site is yours; the engine is ours; the prompt connects the two.

Dumpster Controls is documented for AI builders: Claude, Lovable and Codex can integrate it from our public docs, and we publish the prompts.

Claude

Claude builds the site from the briefing and, with Claude Code, edits the files of a site you already have. [Guide for Claude](https://dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking/claude).

Lovable

Lovable turns the prompt into a published React site; the booking goes in as a script element on the booking page. [Guide for Lovable](https://dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking/lovable).

Codex

Codex from ChatGPT works inside your GitHub repository and opens a pull request with the booking added. [Guide for Codex](https://dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking/codex).

### The prompts

Replace the values in curly braces with your own. Your company slug is the part after `company=` in your booking link, shown in Online Booking.

Prompt 1: build the whole site with online booking

```
Build a complete marketing website for my dumpster rental company. Company: {name}, {city, state}, serving {areas}. Sizes: {10, 15, 20, 30 yard} with starting prices {prices}. Services: {residential cleanouts, construction, roofing}. Phone {phone}. Tone: direct, local, no hype. Pages: home, sizes and prices, service area, about, contact, book online. For online booking, do NOT build a form or a checkout. Embed the Dumpster Controls booking widget exactly as documented at https://dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking.md using my company slug "{slug}": inline mode on the "book online" page, and a floating "Book a Dumpster" button on every other page. Put a "Book online" button in the header that links to the booking page. Each size card links to the booking page with that size preselected. Mobile first, fast, accessible, with local SEO (title, description, schema.org LocalBusiness).
```

Prompt 2: add online booking to a site that already exists

```
Add online dumpster booking to this site using the Dumpster Controls widget. Read https://dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking.md first and follow it exactly. My company slug is "{slug}". Create a /book page with the inline widget and add a floating "Book a Dumpster" button on the other pages. Do not build any form or payment step yourself; the widget handles pricing, dates, address and card payment. If this is a React or Next.js site, insert the widget as a script element with the data attributes set on the element, never as an import. Fire my Google Ads and Meta Pixel conversions from the dc:booking:complete event as documented.
```

Prompt 3: build custom booking screens with the open Booking API

```
Build custom online booking screens for my dumpster rental website using the Dumpster Controls Booking API. Read https://dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking/api.md first and follow it exactly. My publishable key is "{publishable_key}" and my allowed domain is "{domain}". Flow: GET /sizes to show the sizes with live prices; GET /materials first and, when enabled is true, ask what the customer is disposing of before the size, show only the sizes allowed for that material with the material price, send material to POST /quote and POST /intents, show the explanation and require the acknowledgement (material_acknowledged: true) when requires_ack is true, and on 409 material_not_allowed offer details.allowed_sizes; POST /quote whenever the size, material or rental days change and show total and processing_fee; POST /check with the delivery date, ZIP and promo code before payment; POST /intents with the full order and customer to get session_id, payment_intent_id and client_secret; mount the Stripe Payment Element with client_secret using the publishable key from the response (and stripeAccount when stripe.account is set), confirm the card with stripe.confirmPayment and redirect "if_required"; then POST /confirm with session_id and payment_intent_id and show order_number. Never compute prices on the client, never collect card data outside the Stripe Payment Element, and never store the server key in the browser. Handle 409 errors by showing the message from the API. Fire my Google Ads and Meta Pixel conversions after /confirm succeeds. If the company also offers junk removal, use the /junk/* endpoints as documented (GET /junk/config, GET /junk/availability, POST /junk/quote, POST /junk/intents, POST /junk/confirm, POST /junk/photos) with the same keys and the same Stripe flow.
```

Both prompts send the AI to dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking.md, the machine-readable version of the developer reference, so it follows the real contract instead of guessing.

## What the booking engine does so you do not have to build it

Live prices by rental length

Prices for 3, 7, 10 and 14 days, custom dates and an extra-day rate, with tax and your fuel or environmental fee, straight from your account.

Holidays and blackout dates

US and Canadian holidays with one switch, plus your own closed dates and weekly days off. Closed days cannot be booked, on the page and on the server.

Service area by ZIP

Set your yard ZIP and a radius in miles. Addresses outside it are stopped before payment.

Address check and placement pin

Google Places checks the delivery address; the customer drops a pin on a satellite map where the container goes.

Card payment, screened

Stripe's card form inside the widget, Stripe Radar on every payment, manual review holds in the United States, and the card saved on file for the final total.

Promo codes and rental agreement

Codes with expiry and usage limits, validated on the server. Your rental agreement, standard or custom, accepted before payment.

Who pays the card fee

Customer pays, company absorbs, or a 50/50 split. Your choice in settings.

Confirmations sent for you

Email and SMS to the customer at booking; email, SMS, push and an in-app banner with a sound to the office.

Straight to dispatch

The order appears on the [dispatch board](https://dumpstercontrols.io/dumpster-dispatch-software) already paid, ready for a driver, with the [invoice](https://dumpstercontrols.io/dumpster-invoicing-software) created.
