What your customer sees on their junk removal job page in Dumpster Controls
Every junk removal job has a private job page your customer can open from their texts and emails, whether the job was booked online or created in the app. It is read only and shows where the job stands, with photos from your crew.
Before you start
- Any junk removal job, booked online or created in the app
- ## How the customer gets the link
The "job done" text and email carry a short link, dumpstercontrols.io/j/ followed by 12 characters, that does not expire. Texts for online bookings use the same link. To send it yourself, open the job in the app and use "Copy link" or "Open" next to "Customer page". - ## The status
The page is titled "Your junk removal job" with the job number and a "Refresh" button. A status card reads "Scheduled", "Crew on the way", "Crew on site", "Loaded up", "Completed" or "Canceled", with a short explanation. - ## The timeline
"Timeline" lists Booked, Scheduled (day and arrival window), Crew on the way, Crew on site and Job done. Photos taken before and after the job appear under "Job done", labeled "Before" and "After", or "Photos from your crew" when there is only one kind. The customer can open each one. When the office marks the job done without the driver app, the page shows the day of the job, not the time it was clicked. - ## The details
"Day", "Arrival window", "Load" and "Address". Online bookings also show "Amount paid" and your "Cancellation policy". - ## The invoice
For jobs created in the app with an invoice, an "Invoice" card shows "Paid" with "View invoice", or "Balance due" with "Pay invoice". Jobs billed on a commercial account statement show "On your statement". Canceled jobs do not show the invoice. - ## A pending load change
For online bookings, while a bigger load is waiting for approval, the page shows "Your crew proposed a [load]" with the difference, and asks the customer to check their texts or email to approve or decline. - ## How to reach you
At the bottom, "Need to change or cancel?" (or "Questions?" once the job is closed) with your phone number. - ## Choose what it shows
In Settings > Company, "What your customers see" has "Job done message", "Before photos" and "After photos" under "Junk removal jobs", with a preview of the page and of the text. All are on until you turn them off. The page never shows the landfill receipt or your costs.
What happens next
- The page never changes anything: to approve a load change, the customer uses the approval link.
- Photos already sent in a "job done" email stay viewable from that email for up to 90 days, even if you later turn photos off.
Troubleshooting
The customer sees "We couldn't find this link".
The link was typed wrong, or it is an older link that expired (links sent before October 2026 last 30 days after the job day). Send the "Customer page" link from the job in the app.

Frequently asked questions
Is Dumpster Controls really free?
Yes. The entire app is free for any company at any fleet size: dispatch, online booking, the driver app, invoicing, the Tresha AI assistant and every other feature, with no monthly fee, no trial period and no credit card to sign up. The only cost on the free plan is optional card processing when a customer pays by card through the platform: 2.99% plus $3.99 per transaction on the free plan. The entire app is free; an optional $169 per month plan lowers that to 2.99% plus $0.30 and adds a Sponsored spotlight in the public company directory. Prices as published on dumpstercontrols.io/pricing on 2026-09-23.
Do you charge per driver, per truck or per order?
No. There is no per-driver, per-truck, per-user or per-order fee, and no order limit. A company with one truck and a company with twenty pay the same for the software: nothing.
Is there a contract?
No. There is no contract, no minimum term and no setup fee. You create the account yourself, and on the free plan there is nothing to cancel because nothing is billed. The optional $169 lower card rate plan is billed month to month.
Which countries and languages are supported?
Dumpster Controls serves hauling companies in the United States and Canada. The app interface and the Tresha AI assistant are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The public pages, such as the blog, the help center and the landfill finder, are in English.
How do I switch from another dumpster software?
Create a free account at dumpstercontrols.io/login, with no sales call and no credit card. Then import your customers from a CSV file using the template provided in the app; past orders can also be imported from a CSV. Container sizes and pricing are set up in Settings. The landfill database, with 1,750 active US and Canadian landfills as counted on 2026-10-23, is already loaded, so disposal sites do not need to be typed in. Step-by-step guides are at dumpstercontrols.io/help.
