How to report a landfill price update in Dumpster Controls

Just paid a different rate at the gate? Report it. Price reports keep the database honest for every hauler that dumps after you.

    1. 1

      Open the report form

On the landfill's pricing block, click "Report". If the landfill has no pricing yet, the block says "Pricing not available" and the link reads "Add price info" instead. The "Report price update" dialog opens with the subtitle "Help keep landfill pricing accurate for everyone".

    2. 2

      Pick the pricing type

Choose "Per Ton" or "Per Yard" under "Pricing Type", then enter the amount in "Price per Ton" or "Price per Yard".

    3. 3

      Flag extra fees

If the gate added surprises, check "I noticed extra fees" and enter the "Estimated extra fees per dump". This feeds the hidden fees line in the real cost estimate.

    4. 4

      Add context and send

Use "Notes (optional)" for receipt info or the date of your visit, then click "Send Report". A toast confirms "Thanks for the update!" with the note "We received your price report and will verify it shortly."

    What happens next

    • Reported prices carry the "Reported" badge until the team verifies them, and the real cost estimate renders in warning colors as a reminder that it is pending review.
    • On the public landfill pages there is a matching "Report tipping fee" card for the same purpose.

    Troubleshooting

    I get "Invalid price".

The message says "Please enter a valid price.": the amount must be a number greater than zero.
