How to add dumpster sizes and prices for online booking in Dumpster Controls

The sizes and prices your customers see on the booking page come straight from your Registered Inventory. Each size carries its own pricing tiers, weight allowance, and fees.

Before you start

• An admin account with access to Inventory

1. ## Open Registered Inventory
   In the left menu, click "Inventory". The page is titled "Registered Inventory" with the subtitle "Manage your dumpster fleet".
2. ## Add a size
   Click "Add Dumpster" and pick the yard size in the wizard. You can also upload a photo of the dumpster; it is shown on the booking page card for that size.
3. ## Set the rental prices
   Fill the pricing tiers: "Rent for 24 hours price:", "Rent for up to 3 days price:", "Rent for up to 7 days price:", "Rent for up to 14 days price:", and "Rent for up to 30 days price:". Each multi-day tier has a toggle, so you can turn off tiers you do not offer. Set "Additional daily charges:" for days beyond the rental period.
4. ## Set weight and fees
   Configure "Initial weight included (Ton):" and "Additional charge per Ton:". Then set the fee toggles: "Fuel Surcharge (FSC)?" (added to every invoice when enabled) and "Do you charge sales tax?" with a percentage.
5. ## Allow rental extensions (optional)
   The "Customer portal" step includes "Let the customer request a rental extension?". When on, customers can request extra days from their tracking link; the request always waits for your approval, using the additional day price for that size.
6. ## Register units
   Use the quantity stepper on each size row to register how many physical units you own. If a size has 0 units, the row warns that you will not be able to accept orders for that size.

What happens next

• Active sizes appear on the booking page automatically, sorted by yards, showing the included tonnage and the price for the selected duration.
• A paused size ("This dumpster size is paused") is hidden from booking until reactivated.

Troubleshooting

My booking page shows no sizes at all.

If a company has no active bookable sizes, visitors see the paused screen instead of the form. Check that at least one size is active in Registered Inventory.

The price on the booking page does not match my base price.

The card shows the price for the duration the customer selected (3, 7, 10, 14, or 30 day tiers, plus additional daily charges beyond the tier). Sales tax and the fuel surcharge are added in the Order Summary.

Frequently asked questions

Is Dumpster Controls really free?

Yes. The software is free: dispatch, online booking, the driver app, invoicing, the Tresha AI assistant and every other feature, with no monthly fee, no trial period and no credit card to sign up. The only cost on the free plan is optional card processing when a customer pays by card through the platform: 2.99% plus $3.99 per transaction on the free plan. Do you charge per driver, per truck or per order?

No. There is no per-driver, per-truck, per-user or per-order fee, and no order limit. A company with one truck and a company with twenty pay the same for the software: nothing.

Is there a contract?

No. There is no contract, no minimum term and no setup fee. You create the account yourself, and on the free plan there is nothing to cancel because nothing is billed. The optional Unlimited plan is billed month to month.

Which countries and languages are supported?

Dumpster Controls serves hauling companies in the United States and Canada. The app interface and the Tresha AI assistant are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The public pages, such as the blog, the help center and the landfill finder, are in English.

How do I switch from another dumpster software?

Create a free account at dumpstercontrols.io/login, with no sales call and no credit card. Then import your customers from a CSV file using the template provided in the app; past orders can also be imported from a CSV. Container sizes and pricing are set up in Settings. The landfill database, with 1,750 active US and Canadian landfills as counted on 2026-10-01, is already loaded, so disposal sites do not need to be typed in.
