    How to connect QuickBooks Online

    One click sends you to Intuit, you choose your QuickBooks company, and the sync starts automatically. Only company admins can connect.

    Before you start

    • A QuickBooks Online subscription (any plan: Simple Start, Essentials, Plus or Advanced)
    • Admin or owner role in Dumpster Controls

      Open the QuickBooks tab

      Go to Account and open the QuickBooks tab in the Payments group. If you do not see the tab, the integration is not enabled for your account yet; contact support.

      Click Connect QuickBooks

      You are redirected to Intuit. Sign in with the Intuit account that owns your QuickBooks company.

      Choose your company and authorize

      Pick the QuickBooks company you want to connect and click Connect. Intuit sends you back to Dumpster Controls and the tab shows a green Connected badge with your QuickBooks company name.

      Done: new activity syncs automatically

      From this moment, new customers, invoices, payments and refunds flow to QuickBooks within a couple of minutes. Historical data from before the connection is not sent automatically, so your existing books stay untouched.
