How to import your QuickBooks customers into Dumpster Controls

One click brings your whole QuickBooks customer base into Dumpster Controls, with names, emails, phones and addresses, so you can create invoices for them in seconds. No spreadsheets, no re-typing.

   Start the import (three places, same one click)

   Right after connecting, Dumpster Controls asks what you want to import; choose Import my customers. You can also start it anytime from the Customers page (Import from QuickBooks button), the Finances page, or the QuickBooks tab in Account.

   What gets imported

   Active QuickBooks customers with their display name, first and last name, company name, email, phone and billing address. Everything lands in your Customers list ready to receive estimates and invoices.

   No duplicates, ever

   The import matches by email: a QuickBooks customer whose email already exists in Dumpster Controls is linked to your existing record instead of creating a copy. Customers already linked by a previous import or by the export sync are skipped. Running the import twice is safe; it only picks up what is new.

   Watch it arrive

   The import runs in the background through the same sync engine as everything else: within a couple of minutes your customers appear in the Customers page, and the operation shows in the QuickBooks sync log. Large customer bases import in batches.

   Then invoice in seconds

   Imported customers behave exactly like customers you created by hand: pick one on New Order or on an invoice and all the contact data is already filled. That is the point of the import: your first invoice to an old customer takes seconds, not minutes of typing.
