How to manage your subscription payment method in Dumpster Controls

The "Payment Methods" tab shows the card that pays your subscription and hands the sensitive parts to Stripe: "Payments are processed securely by Stripe."

    Before you start

    • This tab manages the card paying YOUR subscription. To receive money FROM customers, use "Configure Payouts" instead.
    1. 1

      Open Payment Methods

In the Account Center, click "Payment Methods". A status banner summarizes your subscription: "Subscription active", "Free trial" (with "Trial ends on" a date), "Payment past due", or "Subscription canceled".

    2. 2

      Review your cards

Each card on file shows its brand, "ending in" the last four digits, its "Expires" date, and a "Default" tag on the card being charged. With nothing on file you will see "No payment method on file".

    3. 3

      Add or change a card

Click "Manage Payment Methods on Stripe" (or "Add Payment Method via Stripe" when you have no card). A secure Stripe portal opens in a new browser tab where you add, replace, or remove cards.

    What happens next

    • Changes made in the Stripe portal reflect back on this tab.
    • The footer note explains the security model: "All payment data is securely managed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details."

    Troubleshooting

I see "Could not load payment methods."

Reload the page. If it keeps failing, open a ticket in the "Support Center" tab.

The banner says "Payment past due".

The last subscription charge failed. Open the Stripe portal from this tab and update your card to keep the subscription active.
