How to choose a landfill destination in the Dumpster Controls Driver App

The landfill picker knows where you are and puts the closest options first, with favorites, search, and the option to add a missing landfill on the spot.

    1. 1

      Scan the sorted list

In the "Select Landfill Destination" card, landfills are sorted by distance from your GPS position, each showing its address, distance in miles, and phone number. Private landfills carry a "Private" badge.

    2. 2

      Search when needed

Type in the box labeled "Search by name, city, or address". The list starts scoped to your company's state; when nothing matches locally, the search automatically widens to other states.

    3. 3

      Star your favorites

Tap the star on a landfill to favorite it. Favorites sort to the top so your usual sites are always one tap away.

    4. 4

      Add a missing landfill

If the site is not in the catalog, tap "Add" to create it with its name and address. It becomes selectable immediately.

    5. 5

      Confirm the selection

The chosen landfill shows with a check mark and its distance, for example "12.4 mi away". Tap "Change" to pick a different one before starting.

    What happens next

    • The destination drives the "Open Map" navigation and is saved on the order, so dispatch sees the same landfill on their route map.

    Troubleshooting

The list says "No active landfills found."

No landfill matches the current search in your area. Clear the search, or use "Add" to create the site you are heading to.
