How to use the driver map in the Dumpster Controls Driver App

The "Map" tab is your day as a picture: numbered stops, a route line, your live position, teammates, HQ, and nearby landfills, all on Google Maps.

Read the counter
The pill in the top corner shows "Today" with your completed count out of total stops.

Toggle the layer chips
Chips across the top filter what draws on the map: "Deliveries", "Pickups", "Junk", "Landfills", "Team", and "HQ", each with a live count. Your choices are remembered.

Follow the route
Each stop gets a colored halo pin with its dumpster size and a numbered badge showing run order. A blue line with arrows threads through your remaining stops, and your position is the pulsing blue dot.

Tap a pin
A preview sheet opens with the address, notes, timeline, and two actions: "Open task" jumps to the full task sheet and "Open in Maps" starts navigation. When several jobs share an address, the sheet lists "Tasks at this address".

Check landfills and teammates
Landfill markers show star ratings; tapping one opens its details with "Get Directions" and "Community Reviews". Teammate markers show each driver's initials at their live position.

Use the corner controls
"Satellite" switches to aerial imagery and "Locate me" recenters on your position.

What happens next

Tasks whose address could not be placed appear in a "needs location" banner; tap it to expand the list and open them anyway.

Location permission is off or unavailable. Tap "Retry" after allowing location for the app in your phone settings.

The map shows today's route only. Check "My Tasks" and the date strip for work on other days.
