How to add your dumpster sizes and prices in Dumpster Controls

Sizes are the heart of your catalog: they set what customers can rent, at what price, and how many physical cans you can commit.

    Before you start

    • An account with access to the inventory screens.
    1. 1

      Open Registered Inventory

Go to the "Registered Inventory" page ("Manage your dumpster fleet") and click "Add Dumpster". The wizard "Register Company Dumpsters" opens.

    2. 2

      Pick one size

Choose a size button such as "20 Yard" (options run from 2 to 40 yards). The wizard warns: register one dumpster size at a time; you can add and edit more later. Click "Next".

    3. 3

      Set your unit count

Answer "How many dumpsters do you own?" with the plus and minus stepper. Leaving it at 0 shows a warning that you will not be able to accept orders for this size, so set the number of physical cans you own.

    4. 4

      Add an image and prices

Optionally upload a photo under "Dumpster Illustration Image" ("Click to upload an image"). Under "Set Your Rental Prices:" fill "Rent for 24 hours price:", the toggleable tiers "Rent for up to 3 days price:", "Rent for up to 7 days price:", "Rent for up to 14 days price:", "Rent for up to 30 days price:", and "Additional daily charges:".

    5. 5

      Configure weight charges

On the "Extra Weight Charge" step, answer "Do you charge based on weight?" with "Add" or "No". If yes, set "Initial weight included (Ton):" and "Additional charge per Ton:".

    6. 6

Configure fees and the customer portal

On the "Additional fees" step, toggle "Fuel Surcharge (FSC)?" and "Do you charge sales tax?". Under "Customer portal", the switch "Let the customer request a rental extension?" lets renters ask for extra days (always pending your approval).

    7. 7

      Save

Click "Save". A toast confirms "Dumpster size created".

    What happens next

    • The checklist step "Add your dumpster sizes and prices" turns green.
    • Each unit gets a serial number automatically; use the plus and minus stepper on the size row to adjust the fleet count later.
    • Sizes with units and prices become bookable on your online booking page.

    Troubleshooting

I cannot click "Next" on the first step.

You must select a size button first.

I need to pause a size.

Edit the size and turn off "Size active (available for booking)". Paused sizes stop taking bookings without deleting your data.
