    How to connect Stripe on day one in Dumpster Controls

    Connecting Stripe is what lets money flow: card and ACH payments from your booking page, invoices, and payment links go straight to your bank.

    Before you start

    • Your business details (the Stripe form asks for them).

      Open Configure Payouts

      In the Account Center, open the "Configure Payouts" tab. The page is titled "Set Up Your Payouts" and lists the benefits: "Accept credit card and ACH payments", "Get paid automatically from online bookings", "Secure payments powered by Stripe", and "Fast payouts directly to your bank account". It notes "Setup takes about 2 minutes."

      Start the connection

      Click "Connect Stripe Account". You are sent to Stripe's onboarding to enter your business and bank details.

      Finish if the status says pending

      Back in the app, the tab shows one of three statuses: "Not Connected" ("Your company cannot receive online payments yet."), "Onboarding Pending" with a "Continue Onboarding" button, or "Connected".

      Verify the connected state

      Once "Connected", the tab shows your "Account ID", "Country", "Business Type", and whether "Charges" and "Payouts" are "Enabled". From here you can open the "Stripe Dashboard" or "Update Account Info".

    What happens next

    • Online booking can go live: the booking page toggle requires an approved payment account before it switches to "LIVE".
    • Stripe is used only as the payment processor; customer payments route automatically to your connected bank account.

    Troubleshooting

    The booking page warns "Connect your payout account to activate online orders and payment links."

    Your Stripe connection is missing or unfinished. Use the "Connect Stripe" button in that warning or return to "Configure Payouts" and finish onboarding.

    The tab says it cannot verify my connection.

    "Could not verify Stripe connection status." is usually temporary. Reload the page and try again.
