    How to connect Stripe and get paid online in Dumpster Controls

    Connecting a Stripe account lets your company accept credit card and ACH payments from your online booking page, invoices, and payment links, with payouts going directly to your bank account.

    Before you start

    • You must be the company owner to complete Stripe onboarding.
    • Your business details and bank account information for verification.

      Open the payouts settings

      Go to your account settings and open the "Configure Payouts" tab. The page is titled "Set Up Your Payouts" and shows your current status: "Connected", "Onboarding Pending", or "Not Connected".

      Start onboarding

      Click "Connect Stripe Account". If you started before and did not finish, the button reads "Continue Onboarding" instead. This opens the "Complete Your Stripe Setup" page with Stripe's own onboarding form embedded.

      Complete the Stripe form

      Fill in your business details, identity verification, and bank account. Stripe may open a new tab for identity verification or bank account connection, so make sure your browser allows pop-ups for this site. Setup takes about 2 minutes.

      Verify your status

      Back on the "Configure Payouts" tab, a fully connected account shows "Status: Connected" with "Charges" and "Payouts" both marked "Enabled".

    What happens next

    • The "Payment Link" and "Card by Phone" options unlock on the new order page.
    • Customer payments are automatically routed to your connected bank account.

    Troubleshooting

    The Stripe onboarding form will not load.

    This is almost always the browser or an ad-blocker. Turn off ad-blockers and privacy extensions for this site, use Chrome or Safari (ideally on a computer), and if you opened the link from inside an app such as Gmail or WhatsApp, open it in a real browser instead.

    My status says "Onboarding Pending".

    Your onboarding is almost complete. Click "Continue Onboarding" and finish the remaining steps to start receiving payments.
