How to try a sample order in Dumpster Controls

A sample order lets you see the dispatch board working before you have real customers, without polluting your numbers.

    Before you start

    • No real orders yet (the shortcut only appears until your first order exists).
    1. 1

      Create it

On the dashboard checklist, click "Want to see it working? Create a sample order". A toast confirms "Sample order created! Check your dispatch board." and the app takes you to Dispatch.

    2. 2

      Recognize it anywhere

The order number starts with "DEMO-" and the customer is "Demo Customer (sample)" at "123 Sample Street", so it is unmistakable on every screen. Try assigning it to a driver or opening its details.

    3. 3

      Remove it when done

Back on the checklist, the link becomes "Remove sample order". Click it; a toast confirms "Sample data removed." and the sample customer goes with it.

    What happens next

    • Sample orders never count toward setup progress, milestones, or any reporting; only real orders do.
    • If creation fails you will see "Could not do that right now. Try again in a minute."

    Troubleshooting

The sample order has no size chip.

The sample borrows your first registered dumpster size. Add a size first for a more realistic card.
