How to give up an accepted Hub order in Dumpster Controls

If you cannot run an order you took, return it before delivery so the original owner can re-list it, run it, or cancel it.

    Before you start

    • The order has not been delivered yet. Give up is only offered while the order is still in an early stage.
    1. 1

      Find the order

Open the Hub and go to "My Accepted Orders". Eligible rows show a red "Give up" button in the "Actions" column.

    2. 2

      Confirm the return

Click "Give up". A confirmation asks: "Give up this order? It returns to the original owner. This cannot be undone." Confirm to proceed.

    What happens next

    • A toast confirms "Order returned to owner" and the order leaves your account.
    • The original owner gets the order back to re-list, run themselves, or cancel. Per the Hub rules in the in-app manual, if prepaid funding has to be refunded because you gave up, the card fee lost on that refund is charged to the company that gave up.

    Troubleshooting

There is no "Give up" button on my order.

The order has progressed too far (already delivered or completed). Give up is only available before delivery.

I get "Could not give up order".

The order's state changed while you were confirming. Refresh the tab and check its current status.
