How to run the import and finish in Dumpster Controls

One click turns every valid row into a customer and an active order. The done screen tells you exactly how many made it and where to go next.

Before you start

• At least one row showing "OK" in the preview.

1. Click "Import {count} orders"

   The button sits next to the counters and names the exact number of valid rows it will import. It shows a spinner while the batch runs; rows are created one by one.

2. Wait for the toast

   When the batch finishes, a toast confirms "{count} orders imported!".

3. Read the done screen

   The page switches to a summary titled "{count} orders imported". If everything went in, it reads "All set. Your board now shows your real operation." If some rows failed during creation, it reads "{failed} rows could not be imported. You can add those manually."

4. Open your board

   Click "Open my board" to jump to the operations page, where your imported rentals are now live.

What happens next

• Each imported order gets an official order number in your normal sequence and is marked as coming from an import.
• Orders arrive as active rentals waiting pickup and unpaid, with no charges or invoices created.
• Real orders count toward your company milestones, so a first successful import can trigger a milestone celebration.

Troubleshooting

The done screen says some rows could not be imported.

Those rows passed validation but failed during creation, usually a temporary connection issue. Add them manually as new orders, or paste just those rows again. Rows that did import will not be removed by a re-paste, so only paste the missing ones to avoid duplicates.
