How to complete an order with a landfill receipt in Dumpster Controls

The last step of the container cycle: record the disposal, capture the tonnage and cost from the receipt, and close the order.

    1. 1

      Open the completion form

In the Landfill tab, open the order drawer. The "Complete Order" box ("Finish this order and move to rental history") has a "Confirm Order Completed" button.

    2. 2

      Upload the receipt

The form explains: "Upload landfill receipt to auto-extract Net Weight and Cost, or enter manually:". Snap or upload the receipt photo and the net weight (tons) and landfill cost fields fill in automatically when the text can be read.

    3. 3

      Correct the numbers

Both fields stay editable, so fix anything the extraction misread or type the values yourself without a photo.

    4. 4

      Complete

Click "Submit & Complete" to save the receipt data and finish, or "Skip & Complete" to close without weight and cost. A short countdown toast with an Undo button runs before the completion commits.

    What happens next

    • Confetti fires and a toast announces "🎉 Order Completed!". The order leaves the Operations board and moves to rental history.
    • The landfill cost is written to the order's cost records as a landfill disposal fee with the receipt attached, so finances see the real margin.

    Troubleshooting

I submitted with empty fields and got a warning.

"No weight or cost entered. Complete this landfill anyway?" appears when both values are zero. Confirm to complete anyway or cancel and fill them in.
