Junk Removal · updated 2026-08-08

What your customer sees on the junk checkout in Dumpster Controls

The public checkout is a two-step flow, "Details" then "Pay", branded with your logo and colors. Knowing it helps you support customers mid-booking.

    1. 1

      Step 1: "Details"

Under the headline "Schedule Junk Removal. Instantly.", the customer picks a "Job Type" ("Curbside Pickup", "Garage Cleanout", or "Construction Debris") and a "Load Size" from the fractions you priced, each with a short description (your pricing "Notes" text when set). They enter their ZIP and address, choose the "Job Date", and optionally a "Preferred Start (optional)" time.

    2. 2

      Service-area check

The ZIP is checked against your service area live: "You're within our service area!" in green, or "Outside our service area" in red, which blocks the booking.

    3. 3

      Step 2: "Pay"

The customer fills "Full Name", "Phone", and "Email", then clicks "Initialize Secure Payment" to load the card form. A "Billing Address" section defaults to "Same as delivery address". Payment is by card only.

    4. 4

      "Order Summary"

A running summary shows the location, job type, load size, and date, with price lines: "Base price", "Crew surcharge" (when crew options carry a surcharge), "Promo discount", "Sales tax", "Processing fee" (per your fee-handling setting), and "Total". Promo codes from your booking settings work here too.

    5. 5

      Confirmation

After the "Process Payment" button succeeds, the success screen "Request Confirmed!" shows the order summary with the new job number and a "What happens next?" list: "Confirmation sent", "Crew dispatched", and "Need help?" with your company name.

    What happens next

    • The job lands in your list as "Scheduled" with payment already marked paid by credit card, and the paid invoice is created automatically.
    • The customer record is matched by email or created for you, so repeat bookers are not duplicated.
    • The charged amount is verified on the server against your own load pricing (and promo), so a tampered price is rejected.

    Troubleshooting

The customer paid but no job appeared yet.

The success screen then reads "Payment Received!" while the order finalizes. The job is created from the verified payment; if it still has not appeared after a few minutes, contact support with the customer's email.
