    How to connect a custom domain in Dumpster Controls

    The Custom Domain tab lets you serve your published landing page from a domain you own, such as mycompany.com. The landing page carries your online booking.

    Before you start

    • A domain you own and access to its registrar's DNS settings (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.)
    • A published landing page

      Open the Custom Domain tab

      In "Booking Page", select "Custom Domain". The description reads: "Use a domain you own (like mycompany.com) for your published landing page."

      Add your domain

      Step 1 on screen is "Add your domain": type the exact domain (main domain only, no protocol, no www prefix, no trailing slash) in the "Domain" field and click "Add".

      Add the DNS records

      Step 2 is "Add the DNS records at your registrar": copy the generated records ("Type", "Name / Host", "Value / Target") into your registrar's DNS panel.

      Verify

      Step 3 is "Verify the domain": after saving the DNS records, click "Verify now". The technical status badge moves from "DNS setup" to "Verifying" to "Ready". DNS propagation can take a few minutes or longer.

      Turn it on

      Step 4 is "Turn it on": once the badge shows "Ready", flip the serving switch to "On" to start serving your landing page from the domain.

    What happens next

    • The active domain also appears as your "Website" link in the Booking Page hero card.

    Troubleshooting

    Verification keeps failing.

    The panel shows "We could not verify this domain yet." with the provider message. Double-check the DNS records at your registrar, wait for propagation, then click "Verify now" again (a short cooldown applies between attempts).

    The On switch is disabled.

    Serving is only available once the technical status is "Ready" (tooltip: "Available once status is Ready").
