How to set up Online Booking in Dumpster Controls

The Online Booking section is the control center for your online storefront. It shows one card per service (Dumpster booking and Junk removal booking), each with its own link and LIVE/PAUSED switch, plus the configuration tabs.

Before you start

An admin account with access to the Online Booking section
At least one dumpster size registered in Inventory

## Open the Online Booking section
In the left menu, click "Online Booking". The page header reads "Online Booking" with the subtitle "Your online ordering system and storefront".
## Copy your links
The top section "Your Online Booking System" has one card per service. The Dumpster booking card shows your "Booking URL" (your hosted booking page, https://dumpstercontrols.io/book?company=your-slug) with a copy button. Share the Booking URL on Instagram, Google Business, or send it directly. The Junk removal booking card shows its own "Junk removal" link (https://dumpstercontrols.io/junk-checkout/your-slug) once you have at least one junk load price, plus a "Settings" button for your junk booking settings. Each link sells only its own service. Below the cards, the "Website" row holds your own website address.
## Turn Online Booking on
Each service card has its own "Accepting bookings" switch, so dumpster and junk removal are turned on and off separately. When live, the badge shows "LIVE" and the text reads "Your Online Booking page is live. Customers can place orders." When off, it shows "PAUSED" with "Booking is paused. No new orders will be accepted online." The switch requires an approved Stripe payout account.
## Work through the configuration tabs
Right below the hero card, the "Put online booking on YOUR website" section walks you through installing the booking widget on your own site in three steps. Five tabs cover the rest of the setup: "Appearance", "Delivery Coverage", "Promo Codes", "Rental Agreement", and "Advanced". Each one is covered by its own guide.
## Jump anywhere with the quick-nav bar
A sticky bar of shortcut pills sits at the top of the page: "Links & Status", "Install Widget", "Appearance", "Holidays", "Coverage", "Promos", "Agreement", and "Advanced". Click a pill to jump straight to that part of the page. Pills for tabs switch the tab for you, and the active tab's pill stays highlighted.

What happens next

Open your Booking URL in a private browser window to see exactly what customers see.

Troubleshooting

The "Accepting bookings" switch is grayed out.

Your Stripe payout account is not connected or not approved yet. Follow the "Connect Stripe" prompt. See the guide on activating online booking with Stripe.

My booking page says "Booking Unavailable".

The page could not load your company by its slug. Confirm you are using the exact "Booking URL" copied from the Online Booking section.

Frequently asked questions

Is Dumpster Controls really free?

Yes. The software is free: dispatch, online booking, the driver app, invoicing, the Tresha AI assistant and every other feature, with no monthly fee, no trial period and no credit card to sign up. The only cost on the free plan is optional card processing when a customer pays by card through the platform: 2.99% plus $3.99 per transaction on the free plan. Do you charge per driver, per truck or per order?

No. There is no per-driver, per-truck, per-user or per-order fee, and no order limit. A company with one truck and a company with twenty pay the same for the software: nothing.

Is there a contract?

No. There is no contract, no minimum term and no setup fee. You create the account yourself, and on the free plan there is nothing to cancel because nothing is billed. The optional Unlimited plan is billed month to month.

Which countries and languages are supported?

Dumpster Controls serves hauling companies in the United States and Canada. The app interface and the Tresha AI assistant are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The public pages, such as the blog, the help center and the landfill finder, are in English.

How do I switch from another dumpster software?

Create a free account at dumpstercontrols.io/login, with no sales call and no credit card. Then import your customers from a CSV file using the template provided in the app; past orders can also be imported from a CSV. Container sizes and pricing are set up in Settings. The landfill database, with 1,750 active US and Canadian landfills as counted on 2026-10-01, is already loaded, so disposal sites do not need to be typed in.
