How to turn on online booking for junk removal in Dumpster Controls
Junk removal has its own card on the Online Booking page, with its own switch and its own link. Turning it on does not change your dumpster booking, and your dumpster link never leads customers to junk.
Before you start
- An admin account with access to the Online Booking section
- The "Junk Removal" business line turned on (Settings, Company, Business lines)
- An approved Stripe payout account
- At least one junk load with a price in Junk Removal Pricing
- ## Open Online Booking
In the left menu, click "Online Booking". The top section, "Your Online Booking System", shows one card per service: "Dumpster booking" and "Junk removal booking". If your company only offers junk removal, only the junk card is shown. - ## Add a load price if the card asks for one
Without a junk price, the junk card shows "Your junk removal link needs at least one load price before customers can book." Click "Set junk prices" to open Junk Removal Pricing, set a price for at least one load, and come back. - ## Turn the junk card on
Flip the "Accepting bookings" switch on the "Junk removal booking" card. A toast confirms "Junk removal booking is live" and the card reads "LIVE". If Stripe is not approved yet, the card reads "Complete your Stripe payment setup to activate online booking and start accepting orders." and the switch opens the "Activate Online Booking" dialog instead. If no load has a price, turning it on shows "Add a junk removal price first". - ## Copy your junk link
Once the card is live, the "Junk removal" row shows your link, https://dumpstercontrols.io/junk-checkout/your-slug, with a copy button. Share it on your website, Google Business Profile, Instagram or in a text. This link only sells junk removal. - ## Choose your junk booking settings
Click "Settings" on the junk card to set arrival windows, same-day booking, how far ahead customers can book, customer photos, item lists, your junk service terms and your cancellation policy. Everything has a sensible default, so this step is optional.
What happens next
- While the junk card is paused, customers who open the junk link see "Online Booking Unavailable" with a note to call you, and no new junk bookings are taken. Your dumpster card is not affected.
- Your dumpster Booking URL never switches to junk removal by itself. When junk booking is on, the dumpster page can show a small "Junk Removal" button in its header that opens the junk page.
Troubleshooting
I don't see the "Junk removal booking" card.
The card only appears when the "Junk Removal" business line is on for your company. Turn it on in Settings, Company, Business lines.
The junk card stays "PAUSED" even though I turned it on.
The card never shows "LIVE" while no load has a price above zero, because the page would have nothing to sell. Add a price in Junk Removal Pricing.
The switch is grayed out.
Your Stripe payout account is not connected or not approved yet. Click "Connect Stripe" in the warning at the top of the page.

Frequently asked questions
Is Dumpster Controls really free?
Yes. The software is free: dispatch, online booking, the driver app, invoicing, the Tresha AI assistant and every other feature, with no monthly fee, no trial period and no credit card to sign up. The only cost on the free plan is optional card processing when a customer pays by card through the platform: 2.99% plus $3.99 per transaction on the free plan. An optional Unlimited plan at $169 per month lowers that to 2.99% plus $0.30. Prices as published on dumpstercontrols.io/pricing on 2026-09-23.
Do you charge per driver, per truck or per order?
No. There is no per-driver, per-truck, per-user or per-order fee, and no order limit. A company with one truck and a company with twenty pay the same for the software: nothing.
Is there a contract?
No. There is no contract, no minimum term and no setup fee. You create the account yourself, and on the free plan there is nothing to cancel because nothing is billed. The optional Unlimited plan is billed month to month.
Which countries and languages are supported?
Dumpster Controls serves hauling companies in the United States and Canada. The app interface and the Tresha AI assistant are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The public pages, such as the blog, the help center and the landfill finder, are in English.
How do I switch from another dumpster software?
Create a free account at dumpstercontrols.io/login, with no sales call and no credit card. Then import your customers from a CSV file using the template provided in the app; past orders can also be imported from a CSV. Container sizes and pricing are set up in Settings. The landfill database, with 1,750 active US and Canadian landfills as counted on 2026-10-01, is already loaded, so disposal sites do not need to be typed in. Step-by-step guides are at dumpstercontrols.io/help.
