    Online Booking

A branded booking page and embeddable widget that lets customers pick a dumpster, choose dates, and pay by card 24/7.

Online Booking gives your dumpster rental company a hosted, customer-facing storefront. Every company gets a shareable Booking URL in the format https://dumpstercontrols.io/book?company=your-slug, plus an embeddable widget you can paste into your own website. Customers pick a size, set a delivery address and dates, choose a debris type, and pay by card, with no phone call and no account required.

You control everything from the Booking Page section of the app: branding and colors, your weekly schedule, service area, promo codes, the rental agreement customers must accept, and who pays the card processing fee. Dumpster sizes and prices come from your Registered Inventory, so the booking page always sells what you actually own.

When a customer pays, Dumpster Controls creates the order, generates a paid invoice, saves the card for future charges such as overweight fees, and notifies both sides: the customer gets a confirmation email and text message, and your admin team gets an email and SMS about the new order. The order lands in Operations under Deliveries, appears in Dispatch as an unassigned delivery task, and shows up in Order History.

Every online payment is screened for fraud automatically. High-risk payments are declined before the card is charged, and suspicious ones are held for manual review by the Dumpster Controls team, so risky orders never reach your operations board.

    Frequently asked questions

Why can't I turn Online Booking on?

The Online Booking switch stays disabled until your Stripe payout account is connected and approved. The Booking Page shows the warning "Connect your payout account to activate online orders and payment links." Click "Connect Stripe" (or the "Connect Stripe and Become a Seller" button in the activation dialog) to finish setup. Once approved, you can turn Online Booking ON anytime.

Do my customers need an account to book?

No. The booking page is public. Customers only enter their name, phone, and email at checkout, then pay by card. They receive a confirmation email and SMS with their order details and a link to their paid invoice.

Can customers book a delivery on a day we are closed?

No. Days you mark as "Off" in the Weekly Schedule (Appearance tab) are blocked in the date picker. Closed days appear struck through, and the quick-pick button automatically jumps to your next open day.

What happens when someone outside my service area tries to book?

The page checks the customer's ZIP code against your headquarters ZIP and the "Max Delivery Distance (miles)" you set in Delivery Coverage. Out-of-area customers see "Outside our service area" and the rest of the form is disabled, so they cannot pay.

Can I pause online booking temporarily?

Yes. Flip the "Online Booking" switch on the Booking Page to PAUSED. Visitors then see a branded "We're at Full Capacity!" screen with your phone number and a "Chat With Us" button instead of the booking form. No new online orders are accepted while paused.

Who pays the card processing fee on online orders?

You decide. In the Advanced tab, the "Processing Fee Strategy" setting offers three options: "Customer pays the fee", "Company absorbs the fee", or "Split 50/50". The choice changes the final price shown at checkout and applies only to new online bookings.
