How to set your delivery service area in Dumpster Controls

The Delivery Coverage tab defines where you deliver. Customers whose ZIP code falls outside the radius cannot complete an online booking.

Before you start

• Your headquarters address and ZIP code

1. Open Delivery Coverage

   In "Booking Page", select the "Delivery Coverage" tab. The "Service Area" card explains: "Define where you deliver. Customers outside this area cannot book."

2. Set your base location

   Enter your "Headquarters Address" (with autocomplete) and "Zip Code". Distance is measured from this ZIP.

3. Set the radius

   Fill "Max Delivery Distance (miles)". The helper text reads "miles radius from HQ", and the summary card shows your coverage, for example "Coverage: 30 mile radius".

4. Set included distance and extra charges

   Two companion cards complete the setup: "Included Distance" ("Free delivery distance in base price.") with a "Distance (miles)" field, and "Extra Charges" ("Per mile beyond included distance.") with a "Charge per mile" dollar field.

What happens next

• On the booking page, a valid in-area ZIP shows the banner "You're within our service area!". An out-of-area ZIP shows "Outside our service area" and disables the rest of the form.

Troubleshooting

The service-area check never finishes for customers.

The check geocodes both ZIP codes with Google Maps. If Maps cannot resolve a ZIP, the check is skipped rather than blocking the customer, so the booking can still proceed.
