How to get online booking on your website three ways in Dumpster Controls

Every account can take paid orders from the web in three ways, all included free: the hosted booking page, the widget on your own site, or a site built with AI and connected to the booking. This guide helps you pick the one that fits you today.

Before you start

  • Online Booking switched on, with Stripe connected and at least one active dumpster size
  1. ## No website yet: use the hosted page
Your booking page is live at dumpstercontrols.io/book?company=your-slug the moment booking is on. Copy the link from "Online Booking", "Links & Status" and put it on your Google Business Profile, your Instagram and Facebook bio, your invoices and your voicemail greeting. Customers book and pay there, on their phone, without calling.
  2. ## Website built by someone else: paste the widget
Open "Install Widget", choose the format, copy the code and paste it in an HTML block of your site. About 2 minutes on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Webflow or any editor that accepts HTML. If you do not touch your site yourself, click "Email this to my web designer" on the same screen. Step by step: "How to embed the booking widget on your website".
  3. ## Building a new site: let an AI build it and connect the booking
AI tools build a complete site from a written briefing. Give them the prompt from "How to build your dumpster rental website with AI" with your company slug, and they embed the Dumpster Controls booking instead of inventing a form. Guides for Claude, Lovable and Codex are at dumpstercontrols.io/developers/booking.
  4. ## Whichever path: the engine is the same
Live prices by rental length, holidays and blackout dates, service area by ZIP, promo codes, rental agreement, placement pin, Stripe card payment screened by Stripe Radar (with manual review holds in the United States), confirmation by email and SMS to the customer, and the order on your dispatch board already paid.
  5. ## Confirm it works
Book a test order yourself from the page or the widget and check it on the dispatch board. Refund it from Order History if you used a real card. To look without taking orders, open the hosted page with preview=1 at the end of the link.

What happens next

  • Want to see two companies doing it? The public page dumpstercontrols.io/online-booking-for-your-dumpster-rental-website shows Dumpster Strong (widget on their site) and GM Dumpster (links from each size card to the hosted page).
  • Prefer to have the site built for you? "Get a Website" in the left menu opens the Website Builder service.

Troubleshooting

Which path should I pick if I have a site but no developer?

The widget. Copy the code and paste it in an HTML block, or email it to whoever manages your site from the Install Widget screen.

Can I use more than one path?

Yes. The hosted link and the widget work at the same time, and both lead to the same booking engine and the same dispatch board.

Frequently asked questions

Is Dumpster Controls really free?

Yes. The software is free: dispatch, online booking, the driver app, invoicing, the Tresha AI assistant and every other feature, with no monthly fee, no trial period and no credit card to sign up. The only cost on the free plan is optional card processing when a customer pays by card through the platform: 2.99% plus $3.99 per transaction on the free plan. An optional Unlimited plan at $169 per month lowers that to 2.99% plus $0.30. Prices as published on dumpstercontrols.io/pricing on 2026-09-23.

Do you charge per driver, per truck or per order?

No. There is no per-driver, per-truck, per-user or per-order fee, and no order limit. A company with one truck and a company with twenty pay the same for the software: nothing.

Is there a contract?

No. There is no contract, no minimum term and no setup fee. You create the account yourself, and on the free plan there is nothing to cancel because nothing is billed. The optional Unlimited plan is billed month to month.

Which countries and languages are supported?

Dumpster Controls serves hauling companies in the United States and Canada. The app interface and the Tresha AI assistant are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The public pages, such as the blog, the help center and the landfill finder, are in English.

How do I switch from another dumpster software?

Create a free account at dumpstercontrols.io/login, with no sales call and no credit card. Then import your customers from a CSV file using the template provided in the app; past orders can also be imported from a CSV. Container sizes and pricing are set up in Settings. The landfill database, with 1,750 active US and Canadian landfills as counted on 2026-10-01, is already loaded, so disposal sites do not need to be typed in. Step-by-step guides are at dumpstercontrols.io/help.
