How to search and filter Order History in Dumpster Controls

Order History ("Track every rental, payment, overweight charge and order activity in one place.") gets big fast. Its KPI cards, filters, and search cut it down to what you need.

    1. 1

      Open "Order History"

Click "Order History" in the sidebar. The list defaults to "All Time", newest first.

    2. 2

Click a KPI card to filter

The card strip shows "Total Orders", "Paid", "Unpaid" (with the dollar total and a hover "Unpaid breakdown" of "Base price", "Overweight", "Extra charges", and "Total due"), "Completed", "Junk Removal", "Abandoned", "Declined", and "Overweight". Clicking a card filters the table; clicking it again clears the filter.

    3. 3

      Search anything

The box "Search orders, customers, companies..." matches order number, customer, company, address, and invoice number.

    4. 4

      Combine dropdown filters

Status ("All Statuses", "Paid", "Unpaid", "Abandoned", "Declined", "Overweight"), sort ("Newest first", "Oldest first", "Highest value", "Lowest value"), and period ("All Time", "This Week", "Last Week", "This Month", "Last Month", "This Year", "Custom range"). "Custom range" opens a two-month calendar with "Clear" and "Done".

    5. 5

      Page through results

Use "Rows per page" (10, 25, or 50) and the "Previous" and "Next" buttons. A badge next to the filters counts the matching orders, and "Clear Filters" resets everything.

    What happens next

    • The KPI numbers follow the selected date range (not the search), so "Unpaid" always matches the same period you see on the Dashboard and in Finances.
    • Canceled orders are hidden from the default view; they only appear under the "Declined" filter.

    Troubleshooting

I see "No rental records found".

"Try adjusting your filters or date range." and click "Reset Filters".

The Overweight card count looks higher than expected.

It counts every order that exceeded its included weight in the period, including ones already billed or paid.
