How to read the sync log and fix sync issues

The sync log in the QuickBooks tab shows every item sent to QuickBooks and anything that needs attention. Nothing fails silently.

    Before you start

    • QuickBooks connected
    1. 1

      Open the sync log

Account, QuickBooks tab. Below the connection card, the Sync log lists recent items: customer syncs, invoice syncs, payments and refunds, each with a status: Synced, Pending or Failed.

    2. 2

      Pending is normal

The sync runs every couple of minutes and retries automatically with increasing intervals when QuickBooks is slow or unavailable. A Pending item usually turns Synced on its own.

    3. 3

      Failed items show the reason

A Failed item displays the error message, including Intuit's transaction id (intuit_tid) when available, which Intuit support can look up. Common causes: the QuickBooks connection was revoked (reconnect from the tab), or the QuickBooks company rejected the entity (the message says why).

    4. 4

      Reconnect replays what failed

If items failed because the connection was broken, reconnecting replays them automatically. You do not need to re-enter anything.
