Most scrap jobs are one visit: the truck shows up, loads the metal and leaves nothing behind. "Pickup only" models exactly that, with no delivery step, no container and no rental days.
In "Create New Order", choose the "Scrap Metal" type and, under "How does this job work?", select "Pickup only": "One visit. We pick up the scrap, no container stays on site."
The "1. Scrap Job" section shrinks to a "Size" (optional) and the "Pickup Date" beside it. The "Qty" control, the "Delivery Date" and the included weight are gone because there is nothing to deliver. Enter the "Pickup Address" and any "Driver Instructions", then click "Create Scrap Order".
The order is created already waiting for pickup, with a single pickup task on the date you chose. On the Dashboard the "Scrap Metal" card counts it under "pickup only" as well as under today, tomorrow or late.
In Dispatch the task card carries the "Scrap metal" badge, and on the map its pin is a diamond labeled "S". Assign it like any other task. In the driver app and on the tablet the task shows the "Scrap metal" and "Pickup only" badges.
After the pickup, the driver's next stop with the load is labeled "Scrap yard" instead of "Landfill" in the driver app, on the tablet and on the dispatch card, and its map pin reads "SY".
Create the order as "Drop off" instead. It works like a regular dumpster order: a size, a delivery date, and a pickup date you can leave empty until the container is full.
Check the "Pickup Date". The pickup task is created on that date, so a job without one would never appear in a queue; the form requires it for exactly this reason.
