How to remove a team member in Dumpster Controls

Removing an office user takes away their access immediately. A few protections stop you from locking yourself, or the account creator, out.

    Before you start

    • The Admin role.
    1. 1

      Open the row menu

On the "Admin Users" page, click the three-dot menu on the person's row and choose "Delete". You can also use "Remove" in the Account Center's "Team and Permissions" tab.

    2. 2

      Confirm

The dialog "Delete admin user?" warns "This removes their access to your account. This action cannot be undone." Click "Delete".

    3. 3

      Watch the confirmation

A toast confirms "User deactivated" and the person disappears from the active list.

    What happens next

    • The person can no longer log in, their roles are removed, and any driver record they had is removed from the Drivers list.
    • Their email address is freed up, so it can be used again for a new account later.

    Troubleshooting

The "Delete" option is grayed out on my own row.

You cannot delete yourself; the tooltip reads "You cannot delete yourself." Ask another admin to remove your account if needed.

I get "Cannot delete the company owner".

The account owner is protected and cannot be removed by other admins.

The Team tab says the user cannot be deleted.

Per the permission rule shown there: "An admin can only delete users they created. The original creator admin (or Enterprise Owner) cannot be deleted by other admins."
