Trucks & Fleet · updated 2026-08-08
The same four-step wizard that adds a truck also edits it. Use it to fix details, update the mileage, and finish the documents and photos you skipped on day one.
Before you start
On the Trucks list, open the row menu and click "Edit", or open the truck's detail page and click "Edit" in the header. The "Edit Truck" wizard opens, showing "Step 1 of 4: Basic Info".
"Truck Name / Number" and "License Plate" are required (both are marked with an asterisk). "Model" and "Color" are optional. Click "Continue" to advance, or click the step bars at the top to jump.
Fill "Manufacturer", "Year of Manufacture", "VIN Number" ("Vehicle Identification Number, typically 17 characters"), and "Current Mileage". The mileage feeds the maintenance and oil change reminders.
Step 3 has upload cards for "Registration", "Insurance", and "Odometer" ("PDF, JPG, PNG up to 10MB"). Step 4 has photo slots for "Front", "Right Side", "Left Side", and "Rear". Uploaded items show "Replace" and "Remove" actions.
Click "Save Changes". A toast confirms "Truck saved". While adding a brand new truck, the final button reads "Add Truck" and the toast reads "Truck added".
"Truck Name / Number" and "License Plate" are mandatory. Fill both and save again.
You will see "Please fill in Truck Name before continuing." or "Please fill in License Plate before continuing." Complete the required fields first.
