How to open and search the Trucks list in Dumpster Controls

The Trucks page is the registry of your fleet. Learn the counters, filters, and table columns before you start managing trucks.

    1. 1

      Open Trucks

In the app sidebar, click "Trucks". The page header reads "Trucks" with the subtitle "Manage your fleet, documents, and usage history", and an "Add Truck" button sits on the right.

    2. 2

      Read the counters

Four cards summarize the fleet: "Total Trucks", "Missing Documents" (trucks missing at least one of the three default files), "Maintenance" (trucks with that status), and "Inactive". The amber numbers are the ones that need attention.

    3. 3

      Search

Type in the box labeled "Search by Truck ID, Model, Plate, VIN...". The search matches the truck's name, model, plate, and VIN.

    4. 4

      Filter by status and documents

The first dropdown filters by status: "All Status", "Active", "Maintenance", or "Inactive". The second filters by paperwork: "All Documents", "Missing Any", "Missing Registration", "Missing Insurance", or "Missing Odometer". Click "Clear filters" to reset everything.

    5. 5

      Read the table

Columns show "Truck", "Model", "Plate", "VIN", "Year", "Docs", and "Status". The "Docs" column shows three chips, "Reg", "Ins", and "Odo": green means uploaded, amber means missing. The status badge is green for "Active", amber for "Maintenance", and gray for "Inactive".

    6. 6

      Open a truck

Click any row to open the truck's detail page, or use the row menu (the three dots) for "View Details", "Edit", and "Delete".

    What happens next

    • The count of matching trucks shows next to the filters, and the list is paginated at the bottom.
    • If the list is empty you will see "No trucks found" with "Add your first truck to get started." (or "Try adjusting your filters." when filters are active).

    Troubleshooting

I searched a VIN and got nothing.

Check the active filters first; a status or documents filter narrows the search too. Click "Clear filters" and search again.
