Delete your account

1. In short

You can ask us to delete your Dumpster Controls account at any time. The request opens a 30-day window: nothing is erased during that time, and signing back in cancels it. After the 30 days, your personal data is deleted or anonymized and your login stops existing.

Records that belong to the company you work for, such as orders, invoices and service photos, stay with that company. They are the company's business records, and in most cases the law requires the company to keep them.

2. If you are a driver

The fastest way is inside the app, and it takes effect immediately:

• Open the Dumpster Controls driver app and sign in.
• Go to the menu, then Profile.
• Choose Delete account and confirm.

The app shows the exact date your account is scheduled for deletion, and we send the same date by e-mail so you have it in writing.

3. If you are an owner, admin or office user

Write to support@dumpstercontrols.io from the e-mail address of the account, with the subject Delete my account. We confirm the request and the scheduled date by e-mail within one business day, and the same 30-day window applies.

If you are the only owner of a company, tell us in the message what should happen to the company: transfer it to another person on your team, or close it. We do not close a company without a written instruction, because other people may depend on it to work.

4. Changed your mind

Sign in again before the scheduled date and the deletion is canceled, with nothing lost. You can also reply to the confirmation e-mail and ask us to cancel it.

5. What is deleted

• Your login: removed from our authentication system. It stops working.
• Your personal data: name, e-mail, phone and avatar on your profile and on your driver record are erased or replaced by an anonymous value.
• Your device notifications: the push notification tokens of your devices are deleted, so nothing else reaches your phone.
• Your driver record: deactivated, so you no longer appear as an available driver.

6. What stays, and why

• Company records: orders, invoices, payments, service photos and landfill receipts belong to the company you worked for. They stay with the company, without your personal data attached.
• Accounting and tax history: invoices and payments are kept for as long as the law requires, which in the United States is normally seven years.
• Deletion audit: we keep a record that the deletion was requested and completed, with the date. It exists to prove that we honored your request.
• Backups: copies inside encrypted backups age out on their own within 30 days.

7. Location history

If you used the driver app with location sharing on, the position history is kept for 30 days and then removed on its own, whether or not you delete your account. Aggregated figures with no personal data, such as miles driven on a route, may stay with the company.
