How to delete your Dumpster Controls account

You can ask us to delete your account at any time. The request opens a 30-day window: nothing is erased during that time, and signing back in cancels it. After the 30 days your personal data is deleted or anonymized and your login stops working. Records that belong to your company, such as orders and invoices, stay with the company.

Drivers: ask inside the app
Open the driver app, go to the menu and then Profile. Choose "Delete account" and confirm. The app shows the exact date your account is scheduled for deletion, and the same date arrives by e-mail so you have it in writing.
Owners, admins and office users: ask by e-mail
Write to support@dumpstercontrols.io from the e-mail address of the account, with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm the request and the scheduled date by e-mail within one business day, and the same 30-day window applies.
If you are the only owner, say what happens to the company
Tell us in the message whether the company should be transferred to another person on your team or closed. We never close a company without a written instruction, because your drivers and office team may depend on it to work.
Watch for the confirmation e-mail
The e-mail carries the scheduled date and the reminder that signing in again cancels the deletion. It is sent in the language of your account: English, Portuguese or Spanish.
Changed your mind? Just sign in
Sign in again before the scheduled date and the deletion is canceled, with nothing lost. You can also reply to the confirmation e-mail asking us to cancel it.

What happens next

What is deleted: your login, the personal data on your profile and driver record (name, e-mail, phone, avatar), the push notification tokens of your devices, and your driver record is deactivated.
What stays: orders, invoices, payments, service photos and landfill receipts belong to the company you worked for and remain with it, without your personal data attached. Accounting history is kept for as long as the law requires.
Location history from the driver app is kept for 30 days and then removed on its own, whether or not you delete your account.
The public page at /delete-account says the same thing without a login, which is what the app stores ask for.

Troubleshooting

I deleted my account by mistake. Can I get it back?

Yes, as long as the scheduled date has not arrived. Sign in again and the deletion is canceled automatically. After that date the login no longer exists and you would have to start a new account.

I do not see the "Delete account" option.

It lives in the driver app, under menu then Profile. Owners, admins and office users request it by e-mail at support@dumpstercontrols.io.

Does deleting my account erase my company's orders?

No. Orders, invoices and service photos are the company's records and stay with the company. What goes away is your personal data and your access.

I am a driver and my company still needs my delivery history.

It keeps it. The proof of service stays with the company; what is removed is your name, e-mail, phone and photo, and your access to the app.
