How to cancel your subscription in Dumpster Controls

The "Cancel Subscription" tab, in the red "Danger" group, ends a paid plan through a deliberate two-step confirmation.

Before you start

• An active paid subscription. On the free Starter plan the tab simply says: "You don't have an active paid subscription to cancel. If you need help, please contact support."

1. Open the tab and read the consequences

   Click "Cancel Subscription". A warning box titled "What happens when you cancel:" lists the effects: "Your account will be suspended immediately", "Booking page goes offline", "Drivers lose mobile app access", and "You can reactivate anytime by choosing a new plan".

2. Say why you are leaving

   Under "Why are you cancelling?", pick a reason: "Too expensive", "Missing a feature I need", "Not using it enough", "Switching to another service", or "Other". Then click "Continue to Cancellation".

3. Confirm deliberately

   On the "Final Step: Cancel Account" screen, type CANCEL in the "Type CANCEL to confirm" field and click "Cancel Account". Until the exact word is typed, the button stays disabled. "Keep My Plan" backs out at any point.

What happens next

• A confirmation screen shows "Your account has been suspended": the subscription is cancelled and a confirmation email is sent.
• Reactivation is always open: "Log back in and choose a new plan to reactivate anytime."

Troubleshooting

I get "Confirmation required".

The confirmation field must contain exactly CANCEL, in capital letters.

The cancellation fails with an error.

The message will say "Failed to cancel subscription. Please try again or contact support." Retry, and if it keeps failing, open a ticket in the "Support Center" tab.
