How to take online bookings with Canadian postal codes

Your public booking page works for Canadian customers out of the box: postal codes in the A1A 1A1 format, Canadian geocoding for the coverage check, and payment in CAD on your own account.

    Before you start

    • Company country set to Canada and Stripe connected.
    • Online booking enabled with your sizes and prices configured.
    1. 1

      Share your booking page

Your booking page is the same URL as always (yourcompany on dumpstercontrols.io/booking or your own website with the embedded widget). Canadian customers see a "Postal Code" field that accepts the A1A 1A1 format.

    2. 2

      Coverage check runs in Canada

If you configured a delivery radius, the distance check geocodes the customer's postal code inside Canada, so an Ontario customer is never matched against a US ZIP.

    3. 3

      Customer pays in CAD

The payment step charges the customer's card in Canadian dollars directly on your Stripe account. The order, invoice and confirmation emails are created exactly like a US booking.

    Troubleshooting

The postal code field only accepts numbers.

That is the US ZIP mask, which means your company country is not set to Canada. Fix it in Settings, Company tab, and reload the booking page.
