How to add job sites, negotiated prices and documents to a commercial account
Job sites, negotiated prices and account documents live in the customer drawer's Account tab (and in the last section of the create modal). They save as soon as you add them.
- ## Add a job site
Under "Job sites" click "Add site". "Each site is a delivery address with its own contact, gate code and PO." Fill "Site name" and "Delivery address" (both required) and, if useful, "Client reference (their job number)", "Site contact", "Contact phone", "Gate code", "Default material", "Default PO number", "PO valid until", "PO cap (amount)" and "Placement notes for the driver". Click "Save". - ## Close a finished site
When a job ends, click "Close site" so it stops appearing in New Order. "Reopen" brings it back. - ## Add a negotiated price
Under "Negotiated prices" click "Add price". Pick the "Size" and, optionally, the "Material". Choose "Haul plus extras" ("Haul price for the included days and tons; extra days and extra tons are charged.") or "Flat fee (all-in)" ("One closed price for the rental. No extra day, no extra ton, ever."). The price starts from your price list for that size; change it freely, set the "Rental days" and, for haul pricing, "Extra day", "Tons included" and "Per ton". - ## Upload a document
Under "Account documents" pick the "Document type" ("Service agreement (signed on paper)", "Tax exemption certificate" or "Other"), add "Expires on" when it applies, and click "Upload". PDF, JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 10 MB. Expired tax exemption certificates show in red. - ## Write your service agreement once
Go to Account Center, "Company" tab, card "Service agreement". Write the agreement in the editor (bold, italic, underline, headings, lists and dividers) or click "Copy from Book Online agreement" to start from your booking terms, then review the payment, refund and state law parts, since that text was written for card bookings. "Insert field" adds the customer company, contact, account address, payment terms, your company details and the sent date, filled in when you send. Click "Save new version". Only an owner or admin can edit it, and every save keeps the older versions. - ## Send it for e-signature
In the customer drawer, Account tab, under "Account documents", click "Send for signature". Check the email (and, if you want, "Also send by text"), open "Preview what the customer will see" and click "Send agreement". The signing link is shown once, with "Copy link", and works for 30 days. "Resend" sends a new link and the old one stops working; "Cancel" turns it off. The same "Service agreement" block is in the customer's Details tab, under "Documents", for any commercial, contractor or broker customer. When you create a commercial customer, check "Email ... for e-signature right after saving" to send it to the email in the form as soon as you save. - ## See it signed
The customer reads the agreement in English or Spanish, confirms their name, title and email, checks both boxes and signs with a finger, a mouse or by typing their name. The signed PDF, with a last page called "Signature certificate" (who signed, when, IP address and device), appears in "Account documents" with the "E-signed" badge and "View signed agreement". The customer gets a copy by email and your team gets a message in the chat.
What happens next
- When an order uses a size listed in the negotiated prices, that price replaces the company price list, and New Order says "Negotiated price applied."
- Choosing a site in New Order fills the delivery address and the site's default PO.
- The agreement text is yours: Dumpster Controls does not write it. Have it reviewed by your lawyer. In Quebec, contracts of adhesion must be offered in French first, so write that version yourself.
Troubleshooting
"Add price" is disabled.
Your company has no active dumpster sizes yet. Add sizes in Inventory first.

Frequently asked questions
Is Dumpster Controls really free?
Yes. The software is free: dispatch, online booking, the driver app, invoicing, the Tresha AI assistant and every other feature, with no monthly fee, no trial period and no credit card to sign up. The only cost on the free plan is optional card processing when a customer pays by card through the platform: 2.99% plus $3.99 per transaction on the free plan. An optional Unlimited plan at $169 per month lowers that to 2.99% plus $0.30. Prices as published on dumpstercontrols.io/pricing on 2026-09-23.
Do you charge per driver, per truck or per order?
No. There is no per-driver, per-truck, per-user or per-order fee, and no order limit. A company with one truck and a company with twenty pay the same for the software: nothing.
Is there a contract?
No. There is no contract, no minimum term and no setup fee. You create the account yourself, and on the free plan there is nothing to cancel because nothing is billed. The optional Unlimited plan is billed month to month.
Which countries and languages are supported?
Dumpster Controls serves hauling companies in the United States and Canada. The app interface and the Tresha AI assistant are available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The public pages, such as the blog, the help center and the landfill finder, are in English.
How do I switch from another dumpster software?
Create a free account at dumpstercontrols.io/login, with no sales call and no credit card. Then import your customers from a CSV file using the template provided in the app; past orders can also be imported from a CSV. Container sizes and pricing are set up in Settings. The landfill database, with 1,750 active US and Canadian landfills as counted on 2026-10-01, is already loaded, so disposal sites do not need to be typed in. Step-by-step guides are at dumpstercontrols.io/help.
