How to register a new dumpster size in Dumpster Controls

The registration wizard captures everything about a size in four steps: the yardage, your fleet count, the photo, and the prices customers see.

    1. 1

      Start the wizard

On the "Registered Inventory" page (sidebar: "Inventory"), click "Add Dumpster". The wizard opens titled "Register Company Dumpsters".

    2. 2

      Step 1: choose the yardage

Pick one size from the grid (2 through 16, 20, 25, 30, or 40 Yard). The note reminds you to register one dumpster size at a time; you can add and edit more later. Click "Next".

    3. 3

Step 2: say how many you own

"How many dumpsters do you own?" sets the total physical units of this size in your fleet; this number controls your available inventory. Leaving it at 0 shows a red warning that you will not be able to accept orders for this size.

    4. 4

      Add the illustration image

Under "Dumpster Illustration Image", click "Click to upload an image". This photo appears in online booking and the inventory table.

    5. 5

      Set the rental prices

Under "Set Your Rental Prices:", fill "Rent for 24 hours price:" (the base rate), then the duration tiers for 3, 7, 14, and 30 days, each with its own on/off toggle if you do not offer that tier, plus "Additional daily charges:" for days beyond the rental period.

    6. 6

Finish steps 3 and 4 and save

Step 3 covers weight, step 4 covers fees (see the weights and fees guide). Click "Save". A toast confirms "Dumpster size created".

    What happens next

    • Units are created automatically with sequential serial numbers in the pattern {yards}YD-{number}, for example 20YD-01 through 20YD-05.
    • The size appears in online booking, in the new-order form, and as a row on the Registered Inventory table.

    Troubleshooting

I registered a size I had deleted before and it came back with old settings.

Re-registering the same yardage reactivates the previously deactivated size and applies your new prices to it.
