How to assign a task with one click in Dumpster Controls

Every unlocked card has an "Assign" button that opens a driver picker. It is the quickest way to assign without dragging, and the only way on mobile.

1. Find the "Assign" button

   On any active card, in the pool or in a lane, click the "Assign" button in the card footer.

2. Pick a driver in the "Assign to…" sheet

   A sheet lists every driver with their avatar, current stop count (for example "5 stops"), and a status dot. The driver currently holding the task shows a check mark. Tap a driver to assign or reassign instantly.

3. Or send it back to the pool

   If the task already has a driver, the sheet also shows "Unassign (back to pool)" at the bottom.

What happens next

• A toast confirms the result: "Task assigned to {name}", "Task reassigned to {name}", or "Task unassigned".
• The driver gets a "Task Assigned" push notification ("Junk Job Assigned" for junk jobs).

Troubleshooting

The card has no "Assign" button.

Locked cards ("IN ROUTE", "COMPLETED", "FULL DUMPSTER") and the auto-created "NEXT" landfill preview cannot be assigned.
