How to use the live map panel in Dumpster Controls

The map panel sits beside the board on desktop and shows your operation on Google Maps while you plan.

Before you start

• A desktop browser with a large screen (the side map panel is a desktop feature).

1. Toggle the map

   Click the "Map" button in the top bar. Your choice is remembered for next time.

2. Resize it

   Drag the map's left edge (tooltip: "Drag to resize") to any width, or use the "Expand" and "Shrink" buttons in the panel header. Click "Hide map" (the X) to close it.

3. Start on the general map

   With no driver selected, the panel shows the company-wide map. Click a driver’s block in their lane, or the driver’s marker on the map, to focus on that driver’s route; click "General map" inside the route view to go back.

What happens next

• The map width and visibility persist across sessions on that device.

Troubleshooting

I do not see the "Map" button.

The side map is desktop-only and the button appears once drivers and tasks have loaded. On phones, use the driver route view instead.
