How to handle a swap order in the Dumpster Controls Driver App

A swap replaces a full dumpster with an empty one at the same site. The app links both halves so you always know which leg you are on.

    1. 1

      Spot the badges

Swap tasks carry a "SWAP OUT" badge (take the full can away) or a "SWAP IN" badge (deliver the fresh can). The task sheet header shows a "Swap" badge too.

    2. 2

      Read the pair card

Under "More details", the swap card explains the other half: a swap out shows "After picking up, deliver the new dumpster" and a swap in shows "After delivering, take the old dumpster out", with a caption telling which swap of the rental this is.

    3. 3

      Jump between the halves

Use "Open Swap In" or "Open Swap Out" on the pair card to open the linked task directly.

    4. 4

      Run each half normally

The swap out completes like a pickup (and can lead into a landfill run); the swap in completes like a delivery, photo and slide included.

    What happens next

    • Both halves stay linked on the order, so dispatch and the customer see the swap as one event.

    Troubleshooting

The pair card says "Linked task not visible to you."

The other half is assigned to another driver or another day, so it does not appear in your list.
