    How to install the Dumpster Controls Driver App

    Your routes, tasks, photos and messages live in the Dumpster Controls app for iPhone and Android. Here is how to get it on your phone.

    Before you start

    • A driver account created by your company (you receive an invite to set your password).

      Open the get-app page

      Visit /driver/get-app on dumpstercontrols.io, or follow the link from your invite. The page is titled "Get the Driver App" and shows the email to use under "Sign in with this email".

      Download from your store

      On a phone, tap "Download the app": iPhones go to the App Store and Android phones go to Google Play, both to the app named "Dumpster Controls". On a desktop, scan the iPhone or Android QR code with your phone, or tap a store badge.

      Sign in

      Open the app and sign in with your driver email and password. You land on "My Tasks" with your assigned stops.

      Allow the permissions

      The app asks for notifications shortly after you sign in so assignment alerts reach you. Location, background location, and camera can be reviewed any time under "Settings" in the "Permissions" section.

    What happens next

    • If the app is already installed, the "Already installed? Open the app" link on the get-app page jumps straight into it.
    • You can also work from a mobile browser: tap "Continue in the browser instead" on the get-app page. The screens are the same.

    Troubleshooting

    I see "Driver profile not linked" after signing in.

    Your account is not connected to a driver record. The message says it directly: "Your account is not connected to a driver record. Please contact your dispatcher."
