The tablet belongs to the truck, not to a person. At shift change the next driver identifies themselves in seconds with a PIN, and everything they do from then on is recorded under their own name.
The driver leaving taps Stop on the shift clock. If a route is still running the app asks to confirm, because ending the shift closes the day's tracking.
The screen appears at the start of the day, after a long idle period, and from the menu at any time. It lists the company's drivers with their photos.
Photos make this fast with gloves on. Only drivers of this company appear, because the tablet is paired to the company.
Four digits on a large keypad. The tablet becomes a real session for that driver: their assigned stops, their shift clock, their messages, their name on every photo and every completed stop.
Tap Play on the big clock. Location tracking, if your company uses it, starts with the shift and stops when the shift ends.
Only active drivers of the company appear, and a driver needs a PIN to be usable on the tablet. Check the driver's status and PIN in the office app under Drivers.
Attempts are limited per device and per driver, and repeated failures lock the account for a short period. Wait, then try again, or reset the PIN from the office app. If the driver also has an office role, their PIN must be set by themselves, from their own Profile screen.
The "Who is driving?" screen returns after a long idle period, so an abandoned session does not stay open all night. Anyone can also open it from the menu to hand the truck over.
