Recording what an order cost you (landfill, fuel, labor, permits, repairs) is what turns invoiced revenue into a real profit number. The "Add Cost" modal offers manual entry or linking a bank charge.
In the Orders P&L drawer, click "Add Cost". The modal is titled "Add Cost to" followed by the order number, with two tabs: "Manual Entry" and "From Bank".
Pick the "Cost Type" (landfill, fuel, labor, permit, repair, or other), enter the "Amount ($)", optionally fill "Vendor (optional)" (e.g. City Landfill) and "Description (optional)", then click "Add Cost". A "Cost added" confirmation appears.
The "From Bank" tab lists your unmatched outgoing bank transactions. Use "Search expenses..." to find the charge and click "Link". The transaction becomes a cost on this order and is marked as matched in your bank feed, confirmed by "Bank transaction linked as cost".
There are no unmatched outgoing transactions in your bank feed. Connect an account or import a statement first, or use Manual Entry.
