How to read the truck gauges in Finances

The "Truck gauges" card ("Your money, read like a dashboard") turns three financial ratios into dials styled like a truck's instrument panel, colored green, amber, or red as the needle moves.

    1. 1

      Profit margin

"What you keep of every dollar." The dial runs from 0 to 100 and shows your profit margin for the selected period. It reads green at healthy margins, amber in the middle range, and red when the margin gets thin.

    2. 2

      Collection tank

"Invoiced money already in the tank." Marked E to F like a fuel gauge, it shows how much of what you invoiced has already been collected. A full tank means little or nothing is sitting unpaid.

    3. 3

      Expense heat

"Expenses share of what came in." Marked C to H like a temperature gauge, it shows expenses as a share of the money received. Cool (green) is good; a hot red needle means expenses are eating most of what came in.

    What happens next

    • The gauges follow the same date range as the rest of the dashboard, shown next to the card title.
