How to use the Profit Intelligence card in Order History

Every order you expand in Order History includes a "Profit Intelligence" card: a live revenue vs costs donut, the cost breakdown, the margin, and a Profit Health verdict.

    Before you start

    • Open "Order History" in the sidebar and expand an order.
    1. 1

      Read the donut and totals

The card shows "Revenue" (including customer-billed extras such as overweight fees), "Total Costs", and "Gross Profit", with the donut splitting costs and profit visually.

    2. 2

      Check the cost breakdown

Costs are grouped as Landfill, Fuel, Driver Labor, Repairs, and Other, each with its amount. Customer-billed charges like overweight or damage are always treated as revenue, never as company costs.

    3. 3

      Read Margin and Profit Health

The bottom strip shows the "Margin" percentage and a "Profit Health" label: "Strong", "Average", or "Weak", with a short tip next to it.

    4. 4

Add a cost on the spot

Click "Add Cost" on the card. The quick modal asks for "Amount ($)", a "Category" grouped into "Job Costs" (Landfill, Fuel, Driver Labor, Repairs & Maintenance, Subcontractor, Materials, Other Job Cost) and "Admin / Overhead" (Office, Insurance, Software, Licenses & Permits, Marketing, Payroll Admin, Taxes, Other Overhead), plus a "Note (optional)". Click "Add Cost" to save.

    What happens next

    • The card refreshes with the new cost, and the same numbers flow into Orders P&L and the dashboard.

    Troubleshooting

It says "Please enter an amount and category."

Both fields are required in the quick Add Cost modal; fill them and save again.
