When a customer fills a can and needs another, the swap creates a fresh delivery order linked to the pickup of the full one.
On the Pickups tab, click the "Swap" button on the order row (tooltip: "Swap Dumpster", "Customer needs an additional or replacement dumpster"). The "Swap Dumpster" dialog opens with the note "Create a new delivery for when the customer needs an additional or replacement dumpster".
With Stripe connected you pick between "Electronic (Stripe)" with invoice and payment link, or "Cash" with no electronic invoice. Without Stripe, the swap is recorded as cash.
Under "Delivery & Pickup Dates", the delivery date defaults to the original order's pickup date and the pickup date follows the same rental length. The "Rental period" line shows the day count and warns if it differs from the original.
"What size does the customer need?" offers "Same size" (pricing inherited exactly from the original order) or "Different size" (pick from your active sizes; the base price auto-fills from that size's duration tier).
Base Price, Fuel Surcharge, Tax Rate, and Rental Days are all editable, with a live total. For electronic payments, "Card Fee Handling" chooses "Customer pays fee", "Company absorbs fee", or "Split 50/50".
Click "Create Swap Order". A toast confirms "Swap Order Created" with the new order number, and the invoice (plus payment link, when electronic) is sent to the customer.
Both dates are required, and for "Different size" you must also select the size and have a base price above zero.
