How to delete or restore a junk job in Dumpster Controls

Deleting hides a job from active history and finance without destroying it, and it can come back later. It is for cleanup, not for refunds.

    1. 1

      Delete from the drawer

Open the job and click "Delete Junk Job" at the bottom. The dialog "Delete Junk Job?" explains: "This will remove the junk job from active history and finance. It can be reactivated later from the Deleted tab in Rental History." Add an optional "Reason (optional)" and confirm with "Delete".

    2. 2

      Confirm the result

The toast "Junk job deleted" confirms. The job leaves the junk list, dashboards, and finance totals.

    3. 3

      Restore it later

Deleted junk jobs sit in the Deleted tab of Order History (Rental History) alongside deleted orders, where they can be reactivated.

    What happens next

    • Deleting is reversible; canceling is not. Use cancel when the service is really off (and money must move), delete when the record itself should not count.

    Troubleshooting

Deletion is blocked with a Stripe message.

Jobs paid online cannot be deleted: "This junk job was paid online through Stripe. Use Decline instead to issue a refund." Use "Cancel Job" so the customer is refunded properly.
