How to manage a junk job from its details drawer in Dumpster Controls

Clicking any junk job opens a drawer that concentrates everything: status, driver, photos, money, receipt, and history.

    1. 1

      Read the header

The top shows the "JNK-" job number, the customer, a paid or not-paid badge, the status chip ("Scheduled", "On Site", "Loading", "To Landfill", "Completed", or "Canceled"), the driver chip (or "Unassigned"), and the load badge. Quick actions: "Message", "Call" (tap-to-dial with a copy option), and "Invoice".

    2. 2

      Assign or change the driver

The "Driver Assignment" section has a driver dropdown (with each driver's phone) and a "Save Assignment" button. A toast confirms "Assignment updated". Assignment is locked once the job is completed.

    3. 3

      Check job and customer info

"Job Information" lists the address (with copy), "Job Date", "Time Window", "Load Size", "Crew Size", and "Est. Duration". "Customer Information" lists name, email, and phone.

    4. 4

      Review photos

The "Photos" section shows every picture attached to the job; click one to open it full-screen. Completion photos taken when the job is confirmed done appear here too.

    5. 5

      Add internal notes

"Internal Notes" ("Add a note (not visible to customer)...") appends timestamped notes with the "Add Note" button. Notes stack chronologically and never reach the customer.

    6. 6

      Follow the "Activity Timeline"

The timeline records "Job created", "Job started", and "Job completed" with dates and times.

    What happens next

    • Money actions ("View Invoice", "Download PDF", "Send Payment Link", "Mark as Paid") live in the drawer's "Payment Summary" section.
    • The completion flow and the landfill receipt scanner are covered in their own guides.

    Troubleshooting

    The "Invoice" button is disabled.

No invoice is linked to this job yet. Jobs created through the normal flows always get one; the button activates as soon as the linked invoice loads.
