How to add a private landfill for your company in Dumpster Controls

Your transfer station is not in the catalog? Add it yourself. It becomes usable by your company immediately, no approval needed, and the team may later share it with everyone.

    1. 1

      Open the form

In the "Nearby Landfills" window, click "Suggest Landfill" in the header. The "Add a new landfill" dialog opens, explaining: "This landfill isn't in our catalog yet. By adding it, you're helping other dumpster companies find it too."

    2. 2

      Fill in the required fields

"Landfill name" (e.g. Green Valley Transfer Station), "Address" (start typing and pick from the autocomplete; city, state, and ZIP fill in automatically), "City", "State", and "ZIP" are all required.

    3. 3

      Add optional info

"Phone (optional)" and "Notes to admin (optional)" with the placeholder "Anything our team should know? (gate codes, hours, restrictions...)".

    4. 4

      Save

Click "Add landfill". A toast confirms "Thanks for contributing!": the landfill is now available for your company, and the team will review it and may add it to the public catalog so other dumpster companies can use it too.

    What happens next

    • The landfill appears in your list with a "Private" badge and is "Visible only to your company until our team reviews and promotes it to the shared community list."
    • It can be chosen on orders and driver routes immediately, and the app geocodes the address so it shows on maps and sorts by distance.
    • Private landfills cannot be rated while private.
    • Drivers and dispatchers can open this same dialog from the landfill pickers on orders ("Add new landfill").

    Troubleshooting

    I get "Missing required fields".

The hint says "Name, address, city, state and ZIP are required." Fill them all and save again.
