Dumpster rental contract software lets a roll-off company write its service agreement once, send it to each commercial customer by text or email, and get it e-signed on the customer's phone, with a record of who signed, when, from which IP address and on which device. In Dumpster Controls it is included in the app, free for any fleet size: separate agreements for contractors, brokers, commercial customers or one big account, structured terms (length, auto renewal, notice to cancel, price lock and fees), the customer's own negotiated prices in the summary, live status on the customer card, and the signed PDF filed in the account documents.
Picture the call every bigger hauler knows. A general contractor wants four cans on three job sites this month, on net 30, at the price you agreed last week. Before the first delivery you want their signature on your terms: how long the deal runs, when it renews, how much notice they owe you to cancel, the environmental fee and the prices for each size.
On paper that means a PDF attachment, a printer on their side, a scan that comes back crooked and a folder nobody can find in a year. Here the agreement goes out from the customer card while they are still on the phone with you, and the card tells you the moment they open it and the moment they sign. The demo above is the real screens with sample data.
One agreement per customer type, and one for the big account
A residential roll-off and a contractor running three job sites do not sign the same deal. In Account Center, Company, the Service agreements card keeps one main agreement, which goes to every customer without another one set, and as many named agreements as you need, each with "Who gets it" in plain words. Each customer signs one.
Main agreement
Your standard agreement. Every company starts with a sample (its Online Booking agreement) as version 1, so there is always an agreement to send. It is only an example: edit it and have your lawyer review it.
Contractors, Brokers, Commercial
Name an agreement and use it for a customer group. New customers of that type get it automatically, and the panel lets you pick another one when you send.
One big account
Pick an agreement for a single customer, give that customer custom terms and a fixed start date, and the company agreement stays as it is for everyone else.
Structured terms: length, auto renewal, notice to cancel, price lock and fees
The written text is yours. Next to it, the Terms and fees tab of the agreement editor turns the parts that always cause arguments into fields, and the customer sees them as a summary above your text and in the signed PDF.
12, 24, 36 months
Agreement length
Or no end date. The summary shows the exact last day.
Renews automatically
Auto renewal
Each renewal lasts the same as the agreement or the months you set.
Cancel by
Notice to cancel
The days before renewal the customer must tell you. The summary prints the cancel-by date in bold.
Fees in writing
Price lock and fees
An optional price lock, plus fees such as an environmental fee as a percentage or a late fee as an amount.
Fuel surcharge and sales tax are not typed into the agreement: they come from each customer's account settings, exactly as billing charges them. The customer's negotiated prices show with the included days and tons and the price per extra ton, the same rule billing uses. While you edit, a line like "Example: if signed Oct 15, 2026, it renews Oct 15, 2027 and the customer must cancel by Sep 15, 2027" shows the result, and if a price change falls inside the price lock period, sending is blocked until you fix the dates or remove the lock.
How a commercial customer signs a roll off dumpster contract on the phone
- 1
#### 01. Write the agreement once
Account Center, Company, Service agreement, Edit agreement. Write the text with fields like the customer company and payment terms, and set the terms on the Terms and fees tab. - 2
#### 02. Send it from the customer card
On the customer's Overview tab, Send agreement opens a panel with the mobile number and email filled in. Send by text, by email or both, or copy the link. - 3
#### 03. The customer reads it on the phone
What you're signing comes first: when it starts, the length, when it renews and the date to cancel by, the fees, their prices and their job sites. - 4
#### 04. The customer signs
Name and title, a typed or drawn signature, two boxes, Sign agreement. A copy goes to the customer by email. - 5
#### 05. The signed PDF is filed
The card turns green, Signed by, and the PDF with its signature certificate is in Account documents with the E-signed badge.

A contractor opening the service agreement on the phone while the office card shows Opened, sample data.
The page is built for the phone: the sections open one at a time, the Review & sign button stays at the bottom, and the signature can be the customer's name written in a handwriting style or drawn with a finger. The customer can read and sign in English or Spanish. The signing link works for 30 days, and the panel also offers Copy link and a QR code, so the customer can scan it at the counter or the driver can show it on delivery.
The signature certificate: who, when, IP address and device
Every signed PDF ends with a page called Signature certificate. It is the record you pull out when someone says they never agreed to the cancel-by date.
Who and on behalf of whom
The signer's name, title and email, and the customer company they signed for, after confirming they are authorized.
When and from where
When it was sent and to which email or phone, when it was first opened, when it was signed, and the IP address and device.
How
Typed name or drawn on screen, and the consent the customer accepted, in English or Spanish, quoted in full.
What exactly
The agreement title and version, a document ID and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the agreement text.

The signed agreement filed in Account documents, with its signature certificate, sample data.
Live status on the customer card
The Service agreement card on the customer's Overview tab shows a timeline, Ready, Sent, Opened, Signed, with the time of each step, and it updates by itself: you see when the customer opens the agreement and on which device, and a message pops up when they sign.
Remind
While they have not signed, Remind sends the same link again, once a day.
Fix and resend
If the email bounced, the card says so and you correct the address.
Needs attention
The Customers page lists what needs you: a new link requested, a delivery in the next 7 days without a signature, bounced emails, opened and not signed, not opened.
Updates: Needs update, What changed and the prices notice
Agreements change. When you save a new version, a Review and save window says whether the text and which terms changed, and how many customers who signed the previous version will show Needs update. From the card, Send update sends the new version, and the customer's page opens with "This is an updated agreement" and a What changed list.
Signed on paper, a test to yourself, and the same agreement on Online Booking
Signed on paper
A customer who still signs with a pen: upload the signed copy (PDF, JPG, PNG or WEBP up to 10 MB) with the date and the name, and the card shows it on file.
Send me a test
Send the agreement email to your own inbox before a customer sees it, from the send panel or the editor, up to 5 tests per hour.
Online Booking
Mark one agreement Use for Online Booking and customers who book online see it before they pay. Turning it off brings back the text Online Booking showed before.
The online side is on dumpster booking software. The step by step for everything on this page is in the public manual at /help/service-agreements.
How the agreement fits commercial accounts
Larger dumpster rental companies live on commercial work, and the agreement is one piece of the commercial account. The same customer record holds the job sites, the negotiated prices, the credit limit, net terms and the statement billing day, and the summary the customer signs is built from those records, so the prices in the agreement are the prices billing charges.

A commercial customer set up on account, sample data.
The full commercial account, statements included, is in the manual at /help/commercial-accounts. Running a big fleet? See dumpster rental software for large fleets. The whole platform is on dumpster rental software.
What it costs
Service agreements are part of the app on every plan, including the free plan: no per-signature or per-envelope price and no feature behind a paywall. A generic e-signature tool does not know your sizes, the tons included or your customer's job sites; here the agreement is built from them. Card processing and the optional paid plans are on the pricing page.
Your agreement, your lawyer
The agreement text is yours: Dumpster Controls does not write it. Have it reviewed by your lawyer before you send it, and again when your terms change. In Quebec, contracts of adhesion must be offered in French first, so write that version yourself.
Dumpster rental contract software: FAQ
What is the best dumpster rental contract software for commercial accounts?
Dumpster Controls: the service agreement is part of the same software that books, dispatches and bills the order, so the agreement already knows the customer's negotiated prices, job sites, fuel surcharge and sales tax. You keep one recommended agreement plus named ones for contractors, brokers, commercial customers or a single big account, send it from the customer card by text or email, and the customer signs on the phone in English or Spanish. The signed PDF carries a signature certificate with who signed, when, the IP address and the device, and it is filed in the customer's account documents. It is included in the free app on every plan, with no feature behind a paywall.
How do I get a roll off dumpster contract signed online?
Open the customer, and on the Overview tab the Service agreement card has Send agreement. The panel already has the customer's mobile number and email; pick text, email or both and send. You can also copy the link or show a QR code at the counter. The customer opens it on the phone, sees What you're signing with the dates and their prices, types or draws the signature, checks two boxes and taps Sign agreement. The card goes from Sent to Opened to Signed by itself.
Can contractors sign the dumpster rental agreement on their phone?
Yes. The signing page is made for the phone: the sections open one at a time, a Review & sign button stays at the bottom, and the signature is the customer's name written in a handwriting style or drawn with a finger. The customer can switch the page between English and Spanish. They get the signed PDF by email and can download it right away.
Can I have one agreement for contractors and another for one big customer?
Yes. One agreement is the main one and goes to every customer without another one set. Named agreements can be used for Commercial, Contractors or Brokers, so customers of that type get them automatically, and you can pick an agreement for one customer. For a big account you can also give that customer custom terms and a fixed start date, without touching the company agreement. Customers who already signed always keep the agreement they signed.
What happens when I change the agreement after customers signed?
Saving a new version shows you first how many customers signed the old one. Those customers show Needs update on their card, and Send update sends the new version; the page opens with This is an updated agreement and a What changed list, such as a new fee. The version they signed stays on file. If only the customer's prices changed after signing, the card stays Signed with a note, and signing again is optional.
Is an e-signed dumpster rental agreement legally binding?
The signing page asks the customer to agree to use electronic records and signatures, says the electronic signature is legally binding like a handwritten one, and records the name, email, IP address, device and time as proof. The signed PDF ends with a signature certificate that holds those records and a fingerprint of the agreement text. Whether a specific agreement holds up depends on its words and on your state or province, so have your lawyer review your text. The agreement text is yours: Dumpster Controls does not write it.
Does dumpster contract software cost extra?
Not in Dumpster Controls. Service agreements are part of the app on every plan, including the free plan, with no per-signature or per-envelope price and no feature behind a paywall. Card processing, when a customer pays by card, and the optional paid plans are described on the pricing page.
